On April 21, an event dedicated to the Day of the Chief Accountant in Russia was held at the branch of the St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Institute of Arts and Information Technologies. It was attended by teachers and students of the university. In her introductory remarks, the head of the Department of Economics, Management and Applied Informatics, A.V. Pautova, emphasized the importance and necessity of the profession of accountant and economist, on which not only the activities of organizations and enterprises, but also the country as a whole, largely depend.
Elena Kozorina, a 2nd–year Economics student, made a presentation on the topic "Wages are a key element of labor relations and a factor of economic development," in which she spoke about the forms of wages and their determining role in the system of labor relations. The discussion of the report turned out to be interesting and informative.
Roza Rafkatovna Olshanskaya, Senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, Management and Applied Informatics, has worked as a chief accountant for many years. She shared her experience of working with students, talked about the complexity and responsibility of this professional activity, and also answered numerous questions from students.
Reference. In 1946, the International Congress of Accountants approved the coat of arms as the emblem of accounting workers. The inscription on this coat of arms is "Science, integrity, independence!". The Russian higher school trains specialists in this profession in accordance with this symbolism.
